Blind Dawg Ben Miller has been sharing his musical talents and love for the Blues for many years.  He began playing in church in the 60’s, and with his Grampa Joe Helms in a country band jamming on drums, rhythm, lap and pedal steel guitars.
In college, he began playing solo guitar in coffee houses and toured summers with several artists.
In 1970, he began a 6-year stint with Howling Wolf where he played Bass or drums as needed. When the Wolf died, Ben began teaching at the college level and playing local gigs nearby.

Fast forward to 2011, when Ben retired from the college to teach Blues and play music full time.  In 2013, Ben represented Black Swamp Blues Society in Memphis at the International Blues Challenge. The following year brought us Ben's 12th recorded project, a Blues CD  called 50 Years of Juke Joints, highlighting some of his favorite songs from 1970 to 2014.

Ben started playing pedal steel again and slide lead in a Top 40 Country band called The Shooters, often behind Chris Salyer, performing together throughout the Northern Ohio area. He continues travelling to play and teach his slide guitar workshops.

Currently, Ben performs country blues as a solo act, duo, or in a band called The Boogie Boys, with Tom "Big Boogie" Horak on bass and Bill "the Beat" Johnson on drums.  When he is called upon to perform in Gospel venues, Ben gathers great singers, including his wife and other praise band players, in a band called Blues Steel Gospel Boogie. In 2016, some old Gospel recordings were re-released as Good & Faithful Servant, which recently placed #87 for the year in Religious CDs on the Roots Music Report!
